Not able to make connection with rest api of salesforce using faraday gem

Please help into this why we are getting this error when trying to make connection with Salesforce rest api through Faraday gem using ROR. Please respond asap :) Error::

Faraday::Error::ConnectionFailed:
SSL_connect returned=1 errno=0 state=SSLv3 read server certificate B: certificate verify failed
