Can't SSH on EC2 ssh_exchange_identification: read: Connection reset by peer

I was able to ssh before but unknowingly I ran command sudo chmod -R 1777 /var in my current directory my code is placed in /var/app/current

Since then I am facing error ssh_exchange_identification: read: Connection reset by peer if i try to do sudo ssh -i my.pem ec2-user@ip

sudo ssh -i my.pem ec2-user@ip
