Rails Devise Generate encrypted password

I am trying to create a login system for a website on Rails that is connecting to a Microsoft ERP System with a MS SQL Server backend.

I want to use devise for login since it's the only way I know why, I'm a beginner.

Is it possible for them to use the same encryption as devise to create a user password so that devise would be able to recognise the password? Or is it possible to change the devise password encryption?

Really stuck. Any help is appreciated. Thanks a lot in advance!
