Heroku API key not found when it's properly configured?

Has anyone seen this on Heroku?

I think it has something to do with using the Workless gem to shut down workers automatically (firing the callback after saving the record) but it doesn't seem like the Cedar-14 stack is picking up the ENV vars configured for the application.

Saying my API key isn't found when it's configured properly either means the gem is looking in the wrong place or there is something wrong with cedar-14 - never saw this on the cedar stack
