A General Method which can be called before Every Available rakes

My aim is that,in my rails project there are around 40 rakes present.What client need before starting each rake, create an entry in a table with the rake name, arguements, start time and end time. Also i dont want to update existing rake files for that, is it possible to do that outside the rakefiles. I have tried updating in the rakefile. But it is no use.TIA.
