seeing XML tab in ajax response when i dont want too

I am making a ajax call in rails 3 application by using remote form, link_to but when i check the response in mozilla console. I see there is a XML tab along with Response tab.

I dont want the XML response, what could be causing my ajax call to return XML response. Because if this the script is not executing correctly.

Can any one help. Thanks.
