Ruby on Rails and Javascript for facebook Apis

I am having the following Ruby on Rails versions. Rails 4.2.1 Ruby 2.1.5p723 I am very new to Ruby on rails and was trying to get my hands on it. I am making a simple Web App. To begin with I want a user to login using the Facebook login button embedded in the site. This part is working. Now I want to enter the details (Email, username, etc) that I get after user logs in to a database with the help of Ruby on Rails. So far I have gone through some tutorials where I created a model. This model is linked to a database created by the Rails. But I want to store the data I got from the javascript on facebook.
